When to compare an independent transfer
- Your package doesn't include transfers, so you're choosing between the operator's add-on and an independent provider anyway.
- You're a family or group: private transfers are priced per vehicle.
- Late arrival or a remote hotel: you go direct, with no multi-hotel drop-offs.
- You want to choose your return pick-up time.
If your transfer is included, weigh any upgrade against the fact that cancelling an included transfer may not get you a refund. Also remember who is responsible if something goes wrong: a transfer booked as part of your package is the organiser's responsibility under the Package Travel Regulations, while an independent transfer is a separate contract with that provider.
