Fair airport taxi fares: Palma, Tenerife South, Antalya and Dalaman
We show official tariffs or fares published by the airport's own taxi operator, with links to the source. For Palma, the route fares are our own clearly labelled estimates worked out from the official tariff. Where nothing official is published we leave the cell as "check the official tariff board at the rank" rather than guess. This page contains one affiliate link, clearly marked. Disclosure.
These route fares are estimates, last checked 20 October 2026. They are rounded to the nearest euro, for up to 4 passengers, and exclude Christmas/New Year and mountain supplements. Estimates are our arithmetic: the official reference tariff applied to our calculated road distance (OSRM/OpenStreetMap). They are not official fixed fares. The meter decides, the driver may take a different route, and some municipalities and longer interurban trips can use their own approved rates, so check the tariff card inside the taxi. The official tariff figures above are the government's; only the route totals are ours.
Tenerife taxi fares are approved per municipality, and the Canary Islands government says municipalities without their own urban tariff apply the regional interurban tariff. The only fare orders it lists online date from 2008–2012, so we don't quote them. Taxis must display their approved tariff; check it at the rank or in the taxi.
Antalya Airport says all its taxi drivers carry airport ID, its cooperative taxi company is antalyaairporttaxi.net, and there is a fare signboard near the taxi rank. Neither the airport nor the cooperative publishes the fares online, so photograph the board before you get in. Turkish local news reported in 2025 that some drivers at the airport quoted fixed prices well above the metered fare; insist on the meter or the board price.
Fares and distances as published on the price list of the Muğla/Dalaman Airport Taxi Cooperative, which runs the airport's taxis. The list is undated; we read it on 20 October 2026. It's the cooperative's own price list, not a municipal tariff, so confirm the price with the driver before you set off.
Use the official rank outside arrivals, never someone who approaches you inside the terminal.
Meter or fixed fare: agree which before you set off. In Majorca and Tenerife taxis are metered, so check the meter starts at the flag-fall amount. At Dalaman the cooperative publishes fixed fares, so confirm the fare for your resort with the driver. At Antalya, photograph the fare board and insist on the meter or the board price.
Know the supplements. Airport and night/holiday rates, and extra passengers, are legitimate. Luggage is free in Majorca under the official tariff.
Ask for a receipt (recibo in Spain, fiş in Turkey) with the licence or plate number. In Majorca the tariff says a receipt must be given free.
Card vs cash. Majorca's tariff says card payment can't be charged extra. Elsewhere card acceptance isn't guaranteed: carry some euros or lira, and pay in the local currency rather than pounds if offered a conversion.
Note the licence number and keep the receipt if you want to complain. Complain to the local town hall (Spain) or the airport and cooperative (Turkey).
